
Vietnam Airlines Opens New Direct Route to China’s Largest Airport- Beijing Daxing
Vietnam Airlines continues strengthening its international network by launching a new direct flight from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) starting March 30, 2025. This strategic move not only enhances travel convenience but also reinforces Vietnam’s connectivity with one of its key trade and investment partners—China.
Seamless Travel for Businesses and Increased Convenience
The new route will operate five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, utilizing Airbus A321 aircraft. In addition, Vietnam Airlines is increasing the frequency of its Hanoi-Beijing flights to a daily service, providing more options for business travelers and tourists alike.
With the opening of this route, travelers from southern Vietnam can now reach Beijing directly, reducing travel time and eliminating the need for stopovers. Beijing Daxing International Airport, one of the most advanced aviation hubs in the world, offers seamless connectivity and quick access to downtown Beijing in just 40–50 minutes.

This latest expansion brings Vietnam Airlines’ total number of routes between Vietnam and China to six, covering Hanoi-Beijing, HCMC-Beijing Daxing, Hanoi-Shanghai, HCMC-Shanghai, Hanoi-Guangzhou, and HCMC-Guangzhou. The airline will operate 40 flights per week between the two countries, catering to the growing demand for business, tourism, and trade travel.
To celebrate the launch, Vietnam Airlines is offering a special promotional fare for the HCMC–Beijing Daxing route, with round-trip tickets starting from VND 7,499,000 (including taxes and fees). This promotion is available for bookings made until October 24, for travel between March 30 and October 24, 2025.
Additionally, Lotusmiles members flying on this new route between March 30 and April 30 can earn up to 1,500 bonus miles per trip, depending on their ticket class.

At the same time, the number of Vietnamese travelers to China has risen significantly, especially during the Lunar New Year holiday.
